SPEECH-LANGUAGE THERAPY
The role of a speech improvement teacher is to help children in the school who are having difficulty with speech and language. Speech therapy is categorized by the actual production of the spoken word. Remediation for speech involves articulation therapy, motor therapy, and sometimes feeding therapy.Magnet School 257 offers bilingual Speech Language Therapy provided by Ms.Caquias our Bilingual Speech Pathologist.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY (OT)
Occupational therapy may be suggested for a student for reasons that can be influencing his or learning or behavior, such as motor abilities, cognitive processing, visual or perceptual issues, mental wellbeing concerns, challenges staying on tasks, disorganization, or inappropriate tangible responses.

ADAPTIVE PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER
Adaptive Physical Education (APE) is an adjusted, or altered, physical instruction program outlined to meet the individualized gross motor needs, or other disability-related challenges, of an individual student. The program can be given one-on-one, in a small group, or inside the common physical instruction setting.
